From Swann: "Originally founded in 1927 as Pan American Airways, the company changed its name in 1950 to Pan American World Airways. The globe in the new logo, featured in this poster, was revamped in the 1940s, rotated to show more continents than just North and South America. That logo was in use until 1956, when the company rebranded and began using the iconic lighter blue globe.
